I choose the movie Legally Blonde

This is the opening close-up shot from the movie Legally Blonde. In the opening scene the main character Elle Woods is brushing her hair and getting ready to go shopping with her friends, because she thinks she is going to get engaged to her boyfriend on their date that night. This is an important shot of the opening scene because it helps create the character of Elle Woods who is portrayed as the typical dumb blonde, when she is actually someone who everyone underestimates but proves herself by never giving up on her dreams.

In this high angle shot in the opening scene, one of the sorority sisters is heading up the stairs to pass around a congratulations card that all the sorority sisters are signing to giver to the sorority president Elle Woods.

This is a point of view shot from the main character Elle Woods. In this scene Elle and her two best friends are shopping for the prefect dress that Elle is going to wear on her big date, where she thinks she is going to get engaged to her boyfriend. Elle is talking about how she is looking for the perfect dress when this sales lady over hears and tries to sell Elle a dress that was on clearance for full price. The sales lady took her for a dumb blonde, when in reality Elle is a fashion major and saw right through the sales lady trying to scam her out of her money.

In this close shot Elle is on a date with her boyfriend, Warner. He is telling her that she is not good enough to be his girlfriend, and that in order to be a politician and acceptable to his family he needs to be with someone who is "serious." Elle has a break down in the the restaurant and says the lines from the trending Tik Tok: "You're breaking up with me because I'm to blonde!" Her breakup with Warner is what triggers her need to get into Harvard Law school, and prove there is more to her than fashion and blonde hair.

In this two shot Elle's friends take her to go get a mani pedi, which is supposed to cheer Elle up. The one in the orange shirt is talking to her manicurist about how Elle is an emotional wreck, this is the moment before Elle flips through a magazine to see a picture of Warner's brother and his fiancé who is a Vanderbilt and a first year law student at Yale.  This is when Elle decides that she is going to get into Harvard Law to become "serious" to Warner.

In this over the shoulder shot Elle and a few of her classmates are helping their professor with defend Brooke Taylor, who is accused of shooting her wealthy husband. Brooke was apart of Elle's sorority at one point, so Elle is the only one she trusts. Elle went to visit Brooke in jail in this shot, and is trying to get Brooke's alibi in order to prove Brooke innocent. Brooke's alibi was that she was getting a liposuction but if anyone found that out her fitness brand would be ruined, so Elle keeps it a secret like she promised. It is because Elle kept the secret that Brooke trusted Elle enough to be her lawyer in court, and Elle was able to prove Brooke innocent and find out that it was her step-daughter that shot her husband.
